Why I Let Go of My Apple Watch (and What That Says About EMF, Healing & Alignment)

The Backstory: When Tech Feels Like Help

2023 became my body’s breaking point—the moment everything whispered turned into a roar.
After a rough COVID spell in December 2022, things spiraled. My workouts triggered sudden blackouts. Night sweats soaked through sheets. My menstrual cycle? Paused without explanation. For someone like me—deeply attuned to the language of my body—this wasn’t subtle. It was a full-blown SOS.

I knew I had crossed a threshold in my health journey. Something deeper was unfolding, and I needed a way to track, decode, and truly listen to what my system was trying to say.

Enter the Apple Watch. I bought it in May 2023, feeling like it would help me stay on top of my health—especially as I scaled back workouts and tried to move more by walking. I tracked my steps, water intake, heart rate, and even sleep cycles.

But Instead of Getting Better, I Got Worse — and It Wasn’t the Data’s Fault

While the Apple Watch gave me tons of data on my steps, sleep, and heart rate, my worsening health wasn’t because the watch was inaccurate or unhelpful. In fact, the data was spot-on. The real issue was that I was constantly wearing a device emitting EMF radiation—24/7—directly against my skin. At the time, I had no clue that this radiation was amplifying the Epstein-Barr virus already active in my body, which made my symptoms spiral further down. (read more about that here)

It wasn’t until later, around mid-2024, that I cracked this code. Understanding how EMFs affect viral activity and nervous system stress made it clear why I needed to step away from the Apple Watch—not because of the data, but because of the unseen radiation burden I was carrying every day. I also started wearing Aires Tech devices, which finally gave my body a break from the constant radiation exposure. And I slowly started feeling like myself again.

The Apple Watch Had to Go

In October 2024, I stopped wearing my Apple Watch entirely with the intention to just take a break while I healed. But it ended up staying off for eight months—collecting dust. The more I learned, the more I felt how off it was to have this constant EMF source pressed against my skin day and night.

Even though I wear EMF protection now, like the Aires necklace, it just didn’t feel right to have a source of EMFs attached to my body 24/7. Especially with my porous nervous system and history of electro-sensitivity (EHS).

Selling It Was Bittersweet

Recently, I sold my Apple Watch— And yes, part of me felt a bit torn. I had once loved that thing. I bought it during a time when I was trying to stay strong, even as my body was screaming for help. So in a way, letting it go felt like closing a chapter.

But it was also empowering. Because now I understand the real impact EMFs can have, especially when they’re that close to the body, all day, every day.

A SmartWatch Doesn’t Align With My Mission

As someone stepping more fully into the role of an EMF awareness coach, it honestly would feel out of integrity to wear a digital watch. I’m not anti-tech—I love my Mac, my phone, editing photos on-the-go—but I’m all about conscious tech choices. Choices that align with vibrational wellness.

One day, maybe, if tech evolves with better bio-resonance standards or EMF-safe regulations, I’ll reconsider. But for now, I’m trusting my body and my truth. And that feels powerful.

It’s a scientific look at the connection between wearables, heart rate variability, nervous system stress, and more. Geeky—but good geeky.

Final Thoughts

Healing sometimes means letting go of things that once felt helpful. In my case, my Apple Watch was one of those things. But I choose health, alignment, and a body that feels safe—and that means being intentional about what I wear and why.

🇳🇱 Nederlandse samenvatting
